 Twin Creeks GATE Opportunities

 

We are very excited to announce our upcoming GATE learning opportunities.  Our “kick-off” event will be a joint learning experience with Cal High. The students will attend the Robots/Vehicles Building Basic course and Robotics Engineering Technology ROP course on Tuesday, December 13 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am. The Robots/Vehicles course provides a hands on experience to build and test robots. While the Robotics Engineering Technology course explores the interaction of science and technology. We anticipate the students will learn quite a bit and love the adventure of the experiences. There will be assigned tour guides to facilitate the classroom observations and the planned activities.  We are very excited to have formed this partnership with Cal High and are presently working on a series of STEM Challenge classes/projects our students will participate in beginning in January – watch for further details.

 

Beginning in Mid- January the GATE chess club will begin. The club will meet on

Fridays from 2:35 – 3:35 pm. Our students will learn the chess pieces, movements and strategies behind the game of chess.  The goal is that they will be able to play anyone in the game of chess.
