Process for forgotten items...

LUNCHES- Ideally it is best to send your student's lunch with them in the morning.  However, we understand that some lunches are forgotten.  The new procedure is for you sign in as visitor in the office, then take your student's lunch into the MPR  stage stairs put it on the floor and write students name and teacher on the whiteboard. Lunch duty knows to instruct the students to take a look but please communicate to your student that if they forget their lunch, to check the area in the MPR. Please make sure your student's name is on the lunch box or bag!

INSTRUMENTS- Same procedure as lunches, see above

HOMEWORK- We do not disturb class to notify students of forgotten homework

WATER BOTTLES- If needed for lunch use lunch procedure.

SUMMER PROJECT: REFLECTIONS

SUMMER PROJECT: REFLECTIONS

Want a great summer project?  Reflections is an annual national PTA arts recognition program that is due in October but why not get a jump start and have your kids work on their piece over the summer.  The theme this year is:  WHAT IS YOUR STORY. Make sure to reflect on the theme.  There are 6 categories to choose from:  visual arts, photography, dance, music, film, & literature. This is a long running very successful program that fosters the arts, building relationships in our community, and building students confidence. It’s fun and it’s free.  National PTA welcomes all grades and abilities to explore and get involved.  All submissions are original and based off the annual theme.

All you do is create an original piece inspired by the theme is one of the 6 categories.

Submit your entry to your school office by October 2016.

Art will be judged based off of how closely it relates to the theme, how creative it is, and technique.

See past art works here:  http://www.pta.org/programs/reflections.cfm?ItemNumber=3767&navItemNumber=3803

There are local awards and someone will win Outstanding Interpretation Awards receiving an all expense paid trip to the National PTA convention for student and one adult, and $800 young artist scholarship.  See other awards here:  http://www.pta.org/programs/reflections.cfm?ItemNumber=3767&navItemNumber=3803

Our children pick the theme each year.  The theme search contest winner chosen wins $100. Learn more about the theme search contest:  http://www.pta.org/programs/reflections.cfm?ItemNumber=3761&navItemNumber=4563

Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast

It's hard to believe there is less than 2 weeks left of school.  What a wonderful year it has been and as a token of our appreciation for your volunteerism, PTA warmly invites you to attend the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast next Friday in the MPR, 8:05 am. There will be fruit, bagels, pastries etc from Panera Bread as well as Peet's coffee and tea.

As Board members and Chairs, we are especially thankful for your dedication and hours of service! We have been trying to get the word out in the principal and PTA newsletters, posters in the office and on the website and we need your help to get the word out and forward to others in the community. This event is open to the volunteers, like you, who have made Twin Creeks such a wonderful school.

Enrichment Program Information

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District welcomes you to the Summer Enrichment Program. Our courses are designed for students entering kindergarten through high school to enjoy an academic enrichment and/or a recreational experience.

Even though a portion of our enrichment classes have some academic basis, they are not structured to provide remediation of any academic area. Therefore, students with "F" grades will not be recommended for Enrichment Summer School as a means of remediation.

Be sure of your summer plans before registering.

GET READY, GET SET

 FOR KINDERGARTEN

This class is designed to assist children entering Kindergarten in the fall by helping them “get acquainted” with school.  Students experience a wide range of exciting activities that will leave them counting the days until school starts.  The goal is to facilitate a smooth transition from the home to the school setting. Children are enrolled in a self-contained class which will include music, arts and crafts, math, perceptual motor development, integrated language arts, science, and much more. This class will give children a powerful initial experience in the school setting.

Child must be 5 years on or before 09-01-2016 and registered for Kindergarten for 2016.

Non-SRVUSD students must be able to provide proof of Kindergarten registration upon request

Registration opens in March (For more details go to www.srvusd.net – Summer Programs)
